Converting old jewellery shop into a living room

Simon Curry 24/11/2025 - 3.44 PM

I’m considering buying a property with an old jewellery shop at the front. It is designated as residential. It has a large plate glass storefront with aluminium shutters. I want to find out a ball park number for remodelling the front and making the room suitable for converting to a living space. Can anyone give a rough idea of what I’d be looking at? I appreciate the devil is in the detail but assume the room is in good condition?

Hi From the context you have given cant really give an rough cost , what could help is the square meters of the shop and if any structural works will be applied . To give a rough idea this type of conversion are variable from 25k to 50k excluding vat but like i said it all depends on the work scope and what range of finishes you are after Thanks
