Probably not double but definitely up by 50 % since 2020. Alot depends on what part of the country you are. An average conversion in the Midlands would range from 40k to 60k for average sized house.

No not Double, we are doing Semi detached hip to gable with dormer around the 65 to 70k mark in the North east that’s with architect drawings etc.

I wouldn't say prices have doubled but in the london/ essex area the rates are around 45k to 65k.

Depends where you are but it’s not double up, it’s £55k to £60k plus vat plaster finish

Hi, i would not say double, but lots of variables, Spec and scope? What is the room going to being used as? or for?. Do you have PD rights if this was a new build? Sometimes controlled by original planning, and possibly developer. You will still have to satisfy building control, also lets think of the original 10 year warranty that exists, we don't want to compromise that. I would say in summary, costs have massively increased over last 5 years, whether or not 50%, in some cases yes in others no... but certainly by 40% plus

Hi there I would try and get more quotes in place (6x), make sure everyone is quoting from the same layout, details and finish.. quotes can drift a lot if everyone isnt on the same page!..
