Rubber roof installed without any drainage?

Anonymous user 10/12/2025 - 8.16 AM

Does right price windows and roofs need a drainage system?..Water comes down the rubber roof ..but all the price right agents have told me that it a doesnt need one. and I'd have to pay more ..they had already charged me for the new windows and 1 kitchen window and so called rubber roof..I know it's supposed to have drainage..but after Ash and another guy both said the same .that it doesnd need it ?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

You need to have a slightly pitched roof what you can't see to the naked eye then some type of drainage / gutters etc

With a rubber roof you will find it either fall to the front with a profile to drip into a front guttering system. When used on a period property it can fall back towards the roof and up behind the tiles with a 400mm upstand in rubber and rain water will be directed off each side of the roof and run down the tiles to the main guttering system of the house
