No lintel New windows

I recently had new windows fitted in a bungalow, there is no bricks above the windows and no lintels fitted is this usual? Fensa regulated company. Is it usual for caulk seal to crack after 4 months most of the windows have

Most windows, any building should have some external heads or brick solders or even concrete lintels, it would be worth checking drawings to see why its been walled without any

Not really usual caulk cracking and lintel there some lintels you could not see it 8mm steal concrete not allowed due new building regs. Ask your windows fitter

There maybe catnic lintels above the windows which bricks hide .as for the caulk. It should be flexible silicone for the windows.

It depends on the age of the property, being a bungalow and depending on when it was built depends on if there is a lintel. Alot of older bungalows were constructed with a wall plate. This is a timber beam mortared to the top of brickwork for roofing purposes. A window fitter would rarely fit lintels when replacing windows or doors unless it is a large unit or bifold that would affect the operation of the fitment or structural integrity of the property. At which point there should be architectural advice
