Changing wetroom flood ring from tiles to vinyl
Mark bowman 06/10/2025 - 8.47 AM
Hi, we currently have tiled flooring in our bathroom/wetroom but most of the tiles have cracked and the floor is too slippery for our liking so we ideally would like to change from tiles to a vinyl- is this an easy process? Any help and advice would be much appreciated as we don’t know where to start!

Hi,
1. Lift the tiles and clean the floor down to the subfloor (concrete or timber).
2. Check for damage to the subfloor or waterproof layer (important in a wetroom).
3. Install a new waterproofing layer or check existing tanking is still intact.
4. Fit sheet vinyl flooring (designed for bathrooms/wetrooms, slip-resistant).
• Vinyl is cut to size, rolled out, and sealed up the wall edges for waterproofing.
