Shelving in boiler cupboard

angela clowe 05/09/2025 - 8.01 AM

Ive just had a WB 4000 installed. Is it safe to have shelving installed and if so can it go infront of boiler or is it best to just have below? Ive checked clearances and it says 450mm infront. Is this an actual clearance for storage or just needed for servicing?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi, this is for servicing purposes only, if you can remove the shelves easily for servicing then it’s fine.

The clearances listed in the manual are for cooling purposes as the boiler is a room sealed appliance. It’s best not to put shelves in front of the boiler but you can below it.
