In my opinion, you would be better off taking two days for this job, but it shouldn't take two full days. Day one put two coats of paint on the walls and ceiling, a mist coat and a top coat. Day two prepare surfaces for gloss coat, job should be finished.

Two days of work. The first day filling holes and preparing the surface and painting everything twice. The second day making corrections, cleaning up after yourself, and thanking you for work. The price for the job £550

The estimated time to paint a small bedroom, including the ceiling, door, and skirting boards, is typically 2-3 days.
However, this is a general estimate and the actual time can vary significantly based on several key factors:
1. Preparation is the most time-consuming part:
This includes clearing the room, covering furniture and floors, patching holes, sanding surfaces, cleaning, and applying painter's tape.
The condition of your walls, ceiling, door, and skirting boards plays a huge role. If there's old peeling paint, cracks, or other imperfections, the prep work can easily take a full day or more.
2. Drying Time Between Coats:
Most surfaces (walls, ceiling, woodwork) require at least two coats of paint for a professional-looking, durable finish.
You must factor in the drying time specified on the paint can between each coat, which can range from 1-2 hours for water-based paints to 12 hours or more for some oil-based gloss paints.
3. The Order of Operations:
Painters generally follow a top-to-bottom approach to avoid drips on freshly painted surfaces. The typical order is:
Ceiling
Walls
Skirting boards and door frames
Door
4. Your Experience and Speed:
A professional painter can work much faster than a DIYer.
Using a roller with an extension pole for the ceiling and walls can significantly speed up the process compared to just using a brush.
A breakdown of the time needed for each part:
Ceiling: Painting a standard-sized ceiling can take a few hours, plus drying time between coats.
Walls: Painting the walls can take a few hours per coat, but again, depends on the size of the room and the number of coats.
Skirting Boards and Door: Painting the woodwork often takes a lot of time due to the need for precise brushwork and the multiple coats (primer + topcoats). A single door can take 2-5 hours to paint, including drying time.
In summary, while the active painting time might only be a day, the need for preparation and the drying time between coats almost always extends the project over several days.

This could take a few hours if you need to repair the wall (I.e filling any cracks/holes). You would need to let the filler/plaster dry before applying an undercoat/white wash. If you do not need to prep the wall, this could take 2-3 hours maximum (allowing time for the first coat to dry). I hope this helps you with your question.

Hi,that work can be done in one day depends if cellings and walls are in good condition and ready for paint but for better quality I prefer to spend 2 days to have only one coat of paint on walls each day.

To paint a bedroom either it and small size I will need two days ... On the first day protection will be applied and possibly repairs will be applied to cracks, cracks that you usually find at each job ... the next day the paint will be applied ....

I'd say Two Day's Top's, and that's Caulking all Internal Edge's and any Filling, Painting Ceiling and Priming and First Coating Woodwork on Day One then Both Coat's on Wall's and the Final Gloss/Satinwood on Day Two to Finish Up.

For nice results allow day and half, three coats for long lasting results, price will vary depending on condition of surfaces, amount of prep etc, if there's no issues you will probably be looking at range between 350-450 pounds plus materials.

Painting a room depends on size, standard, location, color, preparations needed etc. (More time More fees)
For a standard small room with low ceilings around 7 to 10 square metres and minor preparations:
(light sand of ceiling, walls, skirting and one door)
And minor filling (one coat on small wholes and imperfections)
2 coats of paint
(All white or multiple colors)
^^
Professional painter will complete in 1-2 days, depending on time of year. Room temperatures and air flow affect the speed of dying time.
More preparations More time.
Having the room clear will always Speed up the process (more protection, More time)
All Materials ready before starting (planning with painter before start date)
Perfection takes time (no matter how damaged or old the areas are) enough time can make it look brand new
"Small bed room, painting including ceiling and door, skirting boards. Could you please provide an estimated time to complete ?"
^^^With out walls
A professional should not take more than a day

If the walls are not to do, the ceiling & all woodwork would take 1 day to finish definitely no more, im assuming the door casing is included which isn't mentioned but using water based paint for efficient drying times definitely a one day job

Without seeing the room, I would say day one day. Could be extra factor’s depending on the amount of prep, bare plaster, deep colours which could require extra time.

I will do £250 water based paint without materials for one day job. If the surface underneath is not damaged and only a repainting is needed, it will take me half a day, or three hours.
