In your case, you should not carry out this work entirely on your own.
You do not need a CORGI (Gas Safe) registered builder, since there’s no gas work involved.
However:
⚠️ Drainage – Adding or altering waste pipes for a washing machine must comply with Building Regulations. Incorrect installation can cause leaks, blockages, or health issues. This should be done by a qualified plumber.
⚠️ Electrical – Washing machines and dryers draw a lot of power. Using an extension cord is not safe and could cause overheating or fire. A permanent, properly installed socket must be fitted by a Part P certified electrician.
Summary:
– No need for a CORGI-registered builder (unless gas is involved)
– But drainage and electrical work must be done by qualified professionals to meet legal and safety standards.
Hope this helps!

You don't need a gas safe engineer as its nothing to do with gas but I do recommend hiring a plumber
