Builder used Aquapanel floor underlay board on exterior

Hi,We recently hired a builder to build an extension onto our cabin. He has used 'AQUAPANEL Cement board floor tile underlay' to clad the exterior walls. Is this okay to render on top of? Or do we need to fix the correct Aquapanel over the top first? ( ps this guy messed us around alot and tried to skimped on materials- i had to insist he put DPC in after he put the panels up without it!! )
