removing old back boiler and having a combi boiler fitted
Anonymous user 17/07/2025 - 8.12 AM
ive been told that new pipe works needs to come from the gas to the boiler which will run along the side of the house. My concern is that someone might knock the gas pipe work. Is this safe to have gas pipe work running along the side of your house, where there is a communal walk way

Perfectly safe. The wall the pipe will be on is your boundary wall and it’s acceptable to run it there, as long as it’s clipped properly.

Depending on communal traffic you may have to install mild steel pipework

Yes it is safe, you can run gas pipework externally on the outside of your building. If you are concerned about the pipe getting damaged or knocked by anyone there is steel covers avalible to protect the gas pipe.
