Paint mapping

I've stripped wallpaper off a wall, and underneath, the paint is peeling and quite uneven. Is there a way to paint over this surface to achieve a smooth finish without showing the contours or imperfections
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Yes. But first you have to use the sanding machine to leave the wall completely smooth.

you need to get as much lose paint off as you can with i heat gun ( you can get them for £20 online) then father the bits you cant get off with filler with a bit wide band 2/3 times rub down and paint. if the edge still shows fill again and repeat till your happy
