You shouldn’t need to prime them unless the fence has been specially constructed out of something like pine planks. A quick search on B & Q for garden fence paint will give you a multitude of options for external fence/shed paint. A brush is the most cost effective way to apply but you can by electric paint sprayers.

Quickest way is to spray them, but please make sure the reverse side gets done aswell. Always use a oil based paint. This will give the fence longer protection
