At the start of the project we asked for some changes which increased the scopethat were outside the contract. This was in November. The builder never confirmed it was out of scope or submitted a cost. Some prep work has been done. Now as we come towards completion the builder is now adding these in as additional cost. Also electrics were not in scope from the outset. The builder only informed me that this was the case midway through first fix and the associated cost. This doesn’t feel right for new unexpected charges to be added at this stage. What are my options?
