Plumbing

Small amount of water coming from stopcock tap

Anonymous user 28/05/2025 - 1.30 PM

There is a constant wet patch underneath the stopcock tap - is this normal or is this indicative of a leak? Can I do something to fix this myself or will I need to get in contact with a plumber?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hello, I'm a bit late seeing the question and you may already have it all sorted. It may just be the stop cock gland nut. Just google: "stop cock gland nut" and you will find many videos on this. Sometimes it's a really easy fix, but sometimes you need to call a plumber. All the best !!
