Low hot water pressure in one of the bathroom taps
Anonymous user 29/12/2025 - 9.04 AM
Just wanted some advice on how to fix problem. Recently had toilet and washroom newly fitted however on the tap in the washroom the hot water pressure is low but is perfectly fine in the toilet room. I’d preferably like to have the hot water pressure in washroom normal and toilet one low. Not sure if this is possible. Any solutions?

Water pressure is often confused with flow. It might be that you have an isolation valve not fully open, a tap is old and blocked or same with pipework. Depends how old your system is, size of pipework etc but I'd assume it's restricted flow not pressure.

Since its a new installation and all the basin has good pressure, the drop in pressure might be as as result of head loss as the water passes the shower mixer and also the shower head. Option might be to replace the mixers with a low flow shower mixer if this is the one already installed. Second option might be to install a twin pump to boost the flow to the bathrooms.
