Patio stained with outdoor paint haze

John Scrafton 27/05/2025 - 8.43 AM

I’ve just had some renovations done on my home and the builder painted the stonework around the rear windows white with masonry/outdoor paint. Either he emptied out a bucket of “painty” water or it rained, but there is a lot of staining on the patio stonework around them now in the form of a white “haze”. It isn’t paint splashes, more a bright white cloudy effect over a big patch of them, which looks really unsightly as the rest of the stones are still normal. My local DIY store recommended Patio magic, Jeyes outdoor cleaner, and then Scrubb for heavy duty oil/grime stains. I’ve tried all these, washing each off with a pressure washer but it hasn’t shifted it. Is the only thing that will work Brick/patio acid? I’m reluctant as there are plant beds nearby I won’t be able to avoid washing it into when pressure washing off. So I only want to try that if it will definitely work as I’d have to buy a lot of PPP etc to wear applying it etc. Any advice much appreciated!!
