Install door to back of garage (street side)

Hi, I have a garage in the garden but the only access is from within the garden. Would I need planning permission to install a door onto the street side. The road is unclassified and there is a small pavement. The door would be used infrequently for winter storage or repairs.

Hi You can build a garage or outbuilding on your property without planning permission as long as it's of a reasonable size -- no higher than 4 metres.
