Can you re paint the render on a house in winter?

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 2.57 PM

Some charming idiot has graffitied the side of my house. I will have to get it re painted. I was wondering if it being winter and relatively damp at the moment would mean I shouldn't get this done until spring.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

I would leave it until April. But if you need to do it before then I would recommend using an oil based masonry paint which can be used as low as -10C. It will cost more then water base and you will probably have to buy from a trade decorating shop.
