cracks on the bay window

Hi Experts, We have a large cracks on both sides of the window. What can we do? On all the sides of the bay windows, we have a cupboard which shielded the cracks. The inner plaster all become very loose. We have cemented the inner area beneath the window. Should we install helical bars to stop the cracks widden ? Should we remove the cupboard completely in the future to allow condensation building up behind the cupboard? The footing for the bay may of dropped or moved a lot of the time when a footing moves it usually settles once it has moved but there is no guarantee. best way would be get a structural engineer to come out and survey the property, this may involve stitching and/or underpinning the footing depending on the severity. No doubt a helical bar will be better than nothing but I would contact an engineer, hope this helps 👍🏼

The h- bar is 1 option as it uses epoxy resin to anchor the bars, also a horizontal lateral retraining building strap could be used to anchor the brickwork and repoint the bay window with a good sound Mortar mix .

Yes the bars will stop the crack from getting any worse, but they have specific installation requirements
