Paving yet to be laid with heavy rainfall die

Hi Folks, Hi all, I’m having my driveway laid, and the paving is due to be delivered on Tuesday, but the forecast is showing heavy rain. At the moment, there’s sharp sand already laid down. My question is: should I cover the driveway to prevent the sharp sand from being washed away or disturbed by the rain? Thanks in advance for any advice!
