Toilet inlet hose kinking - awkward length/angle

Anonymous user 17/03/2024 - 5.26 PM

I spotted a kink in the inlet hose making the toilet fill slowly. Looking to replace but would be thankful for anyone's wisdom first. My mains water pipe to the toilet inlet are a very short distance from each other, not opposite, slightly to the side. I'm not confidant I could trim and glue a pipe. The issue when I replace this hose is that I can see it happening again. I think the hose was too long making it prone to eventually kinking so I'm guessing a shorter one might resolve but then the short, twisted 90°angle concerns me. I looked at a pipe "elbow" but not sure if that'll do much to prevent kinking in a braided hose. Is this a problem anyone has come across and can anyone recommend a solution for? Thanks in advance for reading!

A toilet valve and copper pipe work would solve the issue

Replacing the pipe should resolve the issue but u can also add "u" of that pipe size or even make one with pipe clips, job done.

Hi, I would recommend having the pipework altered to connect directly to your toilet fill valve and removing the flexi hose altogether.
