Height of Extractor Fan for Gas Hob

I have a Bosch gas hob and Bosch extractor fan. Both of which state 650mm is the minimum distance between gas hob and fan on the instruction manual. Would this meet UK building/gas regs? Or does it have to be 750mm for gas irrespective of operating manuals. Thank you
