Combi boiler and water tank in loft

Anonymous user 17/03/2024 - 2.30 PM

I've just moved into a house where the boiler is an "Ideal logic combi 30" combi boiler but I can see there's a water tank in the loft also that hasnt been removed. The pipes seem to be cut off and not connected to anything, is this ok to remove?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

This will most likely be an old F&E tank that was used for the heating back when it used to be a vented system, this can be removed if needed

This will either be a redundant elson tank or a redundant F&E tank. However it is still possible it is feeding something else like a shower. Before removing it would be advisable to call a local plumber / gas engineer to check it is redundant before any removal.
