Shower pump not working

Shower sometimes start straight away other times not at all, I have a mixer shower with a Stuart turner 1.5 bar pump, mains fed cold and cold water tank in loft. Thanks would a negative head pump be better

Most likely the pump is intermittently working and needs replaced, Also If the cold is mains pressure and the hot water is a vented system you should check the pumps data badge for minimum inlet pressure I think most of them need 0.6bar inlet, so you would need the Tank in attic to be 6 metre above the cylinder to gain 0.6bar head pressure hope this helps :)
