Fitting a radiator with 22mm to 15mm piping

Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 3.32 PM

Hi there Im considering fitting a Kartell radiator in my living room (https://tinyurl.com/uzhyke7z) However it has 3/4 connections which means its 22mm, but my pipes are standard 15mm. On the manual it goes "3/4” valve adaptors are available". My question is which valve (TRV and lockshield) do I use? Or do I need an adaptor? I tried searching but literally could not find the answer to this and their helpline was of no use either TIA

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

A standard trv valve will fit to 15mm copper you just need to remove the old adapters from the old radiator or get some new ones

I think you have misread the instructions.I just had a look on the link you posted and the connections are 15mm.

Would agree the link posted indicates that there are 1/2 connections x4 flow and return and then two for the plug and bleed valve, Would be very unusual to have 22 mm tails up to a radiator in a domestic installation.
