What would be a cost effective lrepair to a leaking parapet wall
Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 3.30 PM
Hi, I have a leaking parapet wall (4m X 1.5m height)and require a temporary fix to last a few months. Until i can organise proper repairs to replace felt and repair the walls Please advice best cost effective temporary solution. Im thinking to use self adhesive felt all the way up the wall and over the coping stones? Thanks

A temporary repair and most cost effective would to apply acropol fibre sealant paint or something similar, then for a permanent repair you could use Lead, 3 layer felt system or fibreglass that my personal opinion

Unless you can use a gas torch you’d be better off covering it in a tarp or similar as you won’t get a bond to anything l,unless using adhesive etc. If your sure it’s the wall then cover it over and down the sides onto roof, weigh down with batton or any wood , bricks you have for time being.
