Monocouche Render - the whitest white

Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 3.31 PM

Hi, we have decided to use monocouche render as were advised by a renderer to use this over sand/cement He advised using webber but the whitest white colour they have is chalk white which looks slightly grey (weberpral m) or cream (weberpral mf). We received a sample from a company called monocouche render which had a colour named nimbus white that we thought looked whiter even when compared with Parex monoblanco. However, we cannot find anyone who seems to have used it on any of the forums? Just wondered if this was a good product or not? Also, we were advised to use monocouche render as a product that is better than sand/cement over insulation board. Whilst this is listed as a good point when using webber render we are not sure about whether this is still the case the render cement we found by monocouche render. Also, is the float or scraped finish look better? If someone is able to help we would be grateful.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

K-render have a few white colours. Always hack off old render or installation board over with fixings. With mono don't go with cheapest guy. As can go wrong. Also make sure you use recommended undercoat to get warranty. Have a look at acrilic thin coat render.

Hi! First of all you cannot use sand and cement over insulation boards....never.... Even over sand and cement finish you cannot apply manocouche straight away. The finish (colour) you are choosing should be easily applied by a professional and competent person. You can ask your finish coat provider for competent people or someone else with good reviews. Hopefully this helps.

I wouldn't bother with any of the rubbish it would pay in the long run to hack of the old and re render with sand/lime/cement all that man-made rubbish looks awful after its had the 4 seasons on it
