adding a radiator or underfloor heating

Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 3.31 PM

I am looking to either add or move a radiator. I currently have a small kitchen which i am loaning to open up, I have a spare room with sliding doors and glass roof which has no heating in it at all so very cold in winter months and never used. Would it be easy enough to dig as flooring is concrete to lay down new pipework and add radiator. Or would it be more cost effective and efficient to place under floor heating into the rooms?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi there thanks for the question, in answer underfloor heating is usually a compliment to standard heating in large areas or electric underfloor heating is a suggestion for small areas however its not a common use for heating large open spaces on its own. Going on your details I would suggest running pipework for either 1 or 2 radiators either column or convection depending on the set up as your solution with the option to add electric underfloor heating if required for a further comfort element. Hope that is of some help.
