Decking risers for Log Cabin

Anonymous user 12 March 2024 - 2.30 PM

Hi All, Many thanks for looking at my question. I've got a 5x3m Log Cabin on order from Dunster House. I have the solid base ready and prepped, however it's not as level as I'd like it to be so I'm looking into using Decking risers to place the bearers onto. I cannot seem to find anything online to work out how many I would need. Looking at the fitting instructions the bearers are 32mm thick, 47mm width, 4850 length and need to be spaced 400mm apart. X10 Bearers supplied in total. It's an expensive option, but I want to do the job correctly, instead of shimming and packing. But, I'll take any advice or reviews on using risers? Cheers

Get yourself a chalk line and plane and plane off the bearers until level

Hi a cheaper option might be to remove existing bearers and run brickwork underneath the bearers with dpc on the bricks this option would require the base to be within 100mm or out of level Hope this helps
