What machinery required to install roof trusses

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.36 PM

Curious question. We have ordered the roof from a truss company. They won’t take it off the lorry, we have to get a maxhine to take it off and then install. Would we need a crane of some sort on site?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Depending on the size of the trusses and height they would need to be installed at. For most jobs a telehandler will suffice with a good driver. If not then it’s a crane just depends on the site access and if you can get them all installed in a day.

A crane is advised. Generally they are bound together, so a forklift to remove them from the lorry is best. If its a ground floor structure they can be lifted by hand
