Filling loop - valve question
Anonymous user 02/03/2024 - 2.30 PM
General question, I just topped up boiler pressure on an old system at my grandparents, I’ve left now but think I opened and closed the valves on the filling loop in the wrong order, will that be a problem, they’re defo shut but on the videos on YouTube it says about which one to open first

Hello, there is no right or wrong order to open the valves. So long as both are closed then you'll have no issues.

How old a system are we talking?
Usually there is no preferred way to open the valves and doing it in any order will not cause any issues moving forward

Hi, it don’t matter what order you open the valves as long as they are both closed it should be all good.

external filling loop has two valves, one to control the water flow and one to stop the boiler water going back to the mains
