Thermostatic Mixer Face Plate Removal

Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 3.03 PM

Wondering if you can help. I’m trying to pull the cartridges out to service them as they’re stiff and grinding. Have gotten as far as pulling the controls off to reveal the cartridges but am not sure how the face plate is secured. Do the circular rings hold it on (they don’t easily unscrew) or is it just siliconed to the wall? Can send pics if you provide details. Afraid I can’t help with a brand. Kind of looks similar to this user manual: https://cdn.bigbathroomshop.co.uk/pdfs/Rd_Twin_ML.pdf?_gl=1*17p2ckn*_up*MQ..*_ga*MTI3ODI5OTU0MS4xNzA2NzM1MTYx*_ga_V97F7JBHZW*MTcwNjczNTE2MC4xLjAuMTcwNjczNTE2MC4wLjAuMA..*_ga_RN3FH80X37*MTcwNjczNTE2MC4xLjEuMTcwNjczNTE2MC4wLjAuMA..&gclsrc=aw.ds Thanks in advance.

If you can’t pull it out the plate that’s mean the plate is stick with silicone to the tiles and you need a thin blade to cut the silicone behind the plate You can use also a filling knife because it’s with handle and soft to bend it also is safeties from the bare blade

I’m pretty sure the plate just pulls off the mixer. It has rubber seals around the plate holes so on pulling slightly it would appear to be fixed but it’s not you wiggle it from side to side and it will come off
