Fascias, Soffits & Guttering

Shallow fascia or completely hidden by roof. What is this style of roof.

Hi, Rebuilding my house. I have a particular roof in mind with style of facia and soffit. I’m not sure how to get what I want. I don’t like the large boxes facia with the guttering next to it. I’ve seen some designs where the roof overhangs and hides a few courses of brick. Therefore you can’t see any facia. It’s soffit. Refer to picture. https://ibb.co/r5PPCRr https://ibb.co/1QScLJr https://ibb.co/DDRQLP9 https://ibb.co/tx1KRgy https://ibb.co/g75ybcS https://ibb.co/mSTC7yb https://ibb.co/HVQ3KLc https://ibb.co/FzW7z06 https://ibb.co/Tbc4qkZ Does the roof need to be designed in that way to allow for this design?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

That's called a open eaves roof. The brickwork has to be built up to the top of the rafters, the soffit is normally laid on top of the rafters or cut in between nailed to battens. A 4 x 1 fascia is normally used to screw the guttering to.

All pitched roof rafters overhang the brickwork, with a fascia to hang all types of guttering off .if a soffit is required you simple add a strip of timber along brick face to take soffit fixing .ie birds/squirrels.
