Anonymous user 19/02/2024 - 2.30 PM

The window guy who fitted the new Upvc windows didn't provide fensa certificate . He was claiming that he is Fensa registered but he need to still register the job which cost the money . He want me to pay for it . Is this correct or he is trying to rip me of .

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

You can check if someone is Fensa registered on the Fensa website https://www.fensa.org.uk. You can verify them instantly. We do pay to register the jobs but don't charge our customers separately for their Fensa Certificate it is included in the service. There is a membership and assessment fee we pay but this is not transferred to our customers. Hope that helps

To me the cost to register the windows should be covered in the quote for the work!

You can find out if he is FENSA registered on their website. If he isn't, it is mis-selling as that would clearly have an impact on your decision. There is a cost to register each job with FENSA but it is minimal and it should be included within the original quote.
