No cold water supply on downstairs WC & basin

Anonymous user 10/03/2024 - 2.30 PM

Hi, got someone installing a new bath , WC & basin upstairs and has shut valves off to them as removing but now no cold water downstairs to downstairs loo & basin ? Any ideas? Yes D & R you've re affirmed what I was thinking..the valves also close off downstairs as well, installing a new bath should only take 1 day, and he should not have left you with no water downstairs, is he a qualified plumber is he insured ?. Contractor from company arranging bathroom. I said to him is it not as bath supply on same feed but fell on death ears.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Sounds like the gate has jammed on the isolation valve, I would recommend the valve is changed.

Surely a reputable plumber Would have just capped off the relevant pipes and turned the supply back on Hopefully the rest of the work will go without further inconvenience
