My switches aren't working? Or the lights aren't?

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.36 PM

I have two switches for my lightbulb in the hallway. One of the wall switches controls two different lights. One on the main downstairs hallway and the upstairs hallway. The switch works for the upstairs hallway but none of the switches work for the downstairs hallway. Any idea what's going on? I've replaced the lightbulb but have no idea what's causing this.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Could be the actual light fitting or the switch that needs replacing. Try a different lamp in the fitting too before you proceed. I’d probably call an electrician to investigate further for you.
