Gas to electric hob, boiler moved and new radiators in new location

Anonymous user 06/03/2024 - 2.31 PM

Apologies in advice as I’ll repost this under other headings as I don’t know which expert I need! I am in the process of buying a place. 1. Boiler was installed a few years back and has since been moved and reinstalled. Does this need any kind of compliance/regulation or completion certificate? 2. New radiators have been installed and moved to a new location. Does this need any kind of compliance/regulation or completion certificate? 3. There used to be a gas cooker and now an electric hob has been installed. Does this need any kind of compliance/regulation or completion certificate? Does there need to be any sort of certificate for where the gas has been sealed off? UPDATE: thank you everyone who answered. I’ve asked for the paperwork! :) fingers crossed

Hi SHAM19, You are right about what you are asking a question to a tradespeople. 1. Yes you have a gas safe certificate from a gas Engineer who did for you those jobs, you should have it just in case something goes wrong in the future. 2. No, don't need 3. Yes you should get a gas safe certificate about it too.

So long as the boiler has been serviced by a gas safe registered engineer and the certificate is there it's ok

You will need to register the boiler with gas safe if it's been resited in a new location as its classed as an install. No regs really to worry about on the rads. Gas to electric hob fine as long as capping is undertaken by qualified gas safe engineer.

Firstly if the boiler in under warranty it don’t need certification again as it can be re located as for moving radiators no certification for that either and capping off of gas pipes again no certification needed. However the work carried out where gas has been worked on is required to be done by a gas safe registered engineer, and as long as you now the guy that did the work is qualified then you have no problem with any of that work
