Gas Works

Gas to electric hob, boiler moved & new radiators in a new location

Anonymous user 05/03/2024 - 2.30 PM

UPDATE: thank you for your reply. Apologies in advice as I’ll repost this under other headings as I don’t know which expert I need! I am in the process of buying a place. 1. Boiler was installed a few years back and has since been moved and reinstalled. Does this need any kind of compliance/regulation or completion certificate? 2. New radiators have been installed and moved to a new location. Does this need any kind of compliance/regulation or completion certificate? 3. There used to be a gas cooker and now an electric hob has been installed. Does this need any kind of compliance/regulation or completion certificate? Does there need to be any sort of certificate for where the gas has been sealed off?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

For the first question requires complying with BS, 26/9 check and HSE without any hesitation. For the second question not necessary. For the third question, indeed requires follow the rules BS and the gas pipe need to be capped off with stickers to avoid any leaks and for the others trade information

If boiler has been reinstalled it will need a new benchmark and reporting to gas safe as a new installation. Radiators is complicated and depends if installation was carried out same time as the boiler. But most plumbers would not report If a new cooker supply has been installed this would need to be tested and reported also
