Weird plumbing issues in the bathroom

My bathroom has a number of problems which I'd like advice on before I work out how much of the kids inheritance I need to dip into. First one, and most annoying, the tap to the bath doesn't work for hot or cold water. It's a mixer waterfall tap installed into the corner which means I can't easily get to it but can get to the isolator valves just about. I've checked the valves are turned the right way but still nothing comes through. Second one is that there's no cold water coming through the sink mixer tap, hot water is working just fine. Again I've checked the isolation valves and even replaced the tap. Weirdly, the toilet works fine even though that is fed off the same cold water supply.....I think. Any ideas or do I need to call in those who can?
