Stuart Turner. What do I need? Low pressure and flow rate from mains line.

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 4.08 PM

Rebuilding my house. Will have 5 bathrooms. In coming water pipe is low pressure and flow rate. I’ve been burnt before doing a 6 bed HMO with all en-suites and 3 showers can be had at the same time with no enhancement. Had I known about the problem, I would have considered Stuart turner. Which product you recommend? Shower pump or accumulator? We wont be operating all showers at the same time in the new house but rather cater for it given we have very low pressure and flow rate currently. I will consider upgrading the water pipe to get a better flow rate. Any thoughts of what I should get? What’s the maintenance issues? E.g shower pump hide behind the shower fixing? So is access an issue? Ultimately I want to make sure the pressure and flow is decent at all times

Stuart Turner Technical will design the system for you. I would say they would suggest 2 x 450l accumulators and a boost pump

You'll require a accumulator. Many manufacturers of shower pumps will design one suited for your system

I would definitely say you will need an accumulator and mains boost pump. Especially if the bathrooms are going to be used at the same time you’ll need a reasonably large accumulator. But as above contact Stuart turner technical and they will be able to recommended something that will fit the application Hope this helps
