The amount of experience that is required to re-seal the bath is basic. It is not a difficult task. The steps to ensure that you get a lasting repair/re-seal are as follows:
Use a quality anti-mould silicone sealer. Don't use cheapo sealer. It is money down the drain.
Ensure you remove old sealant and clean thoroughly (and i mean thoroughly). Acetone is great for removing old sealant. However, check that it does not react with bath surface (do a test in a small area that is not visible). Alternatively, use a specific cleaner.
Use masking tape to mask off your silicone bead round the edge of the bath. Shape and clean off excess with a spatula (give a nice even finish). Do this with single stroke, no pattering about ...
Let it dry completely before removing masking tape.
There are plenty of youtube vids on the subject. Just go through a couple. One thing i would emphasise is that preparation is key.

As with the advice given above but if your not a pro and using masking get the silicone on there, run it through with what ever tool your using, take the masking off STRAIGHT away, mist the surface and smooth through.
If you leave it to dry before removing the masking it can leave a lip and can lift the edge of the silicone as you remove the masking.
I don't use masking, I use some rubber tools from screwfix
