I am re writing this question as it is obviously not clear what I am asking. I previously asked”Is it ok to paint normal external paint on an acrylic coating which has got discoloured and a few minor cracks?” This is a better description of our problem We have EWI fitted 6 years ago to a bungalow/ cottage. We are generally very happy with it but there are two minor cracks( below separate windows one crack each) and it is beginning to look grubby. The system used was an acrylic render by Bostik according to the “ guarantee” The contractor is not replying to our questions but they are by now over 60 and possibly unwell. 
Should we repair the cracks and what with as I cannot find a bostik supplier to ask. Should we use an algae removing spray and or wash with a gentle pressure washer and paint. What paint should be used as I read acrylic external paint should not be applied to acrylic render.

I would say at least dont do it this time of the year. Dries forever and in late afternoon/evening you get condensation which will wash the paint off. Not sure if you want to paint outside as not clear from your post. Inside is ok after you sand everything and dust. Problem is that is no such a thing as normal Acrylic paint. Its so many formulas that you sometimes take a gamble. I use tested paint on certain surfaces which I know will work. If its for small areas use BEDEC MSP they have it in basic colours and 3 finishes. Otherwise call experienced painter to quote they dont just know how to move the paint brush but also what paint to use(or should know) 👍.

With acrylics, you can add wet paint over dry paint, or you can add wet paint onto wet paint. The effects will be very different, so this is why it depends on what you are trying to achieve - that is, what you want your painting to look like.
