Hi have a basement doorway that I don't use want to leave the door but plasterboard it over its in the basement so want to make sure that it is done with proper plasterboard to avoid any damp issues

dont put the plasterboard on the floor keep it off the floor

hi there
As well as keeping it off the floor you can also buy cement boards mainly used in bathrooms but a good strong board with good moisture resistance in case there is a condensation issue in the basement

Yes you can. But make sure that you are using right plasterboard. I suggest you weather defense plasterboard.
