Sanding wooden panels and beading - dustless advice

Anonymous user 06/03/2024 - 2.31 PM

Hi there, Does anyone have tips on how to sand wooden beading and grooves in wooden wall panels - without or creating minimal dust? I have found that attaching my sander to a vacuum cleaner creates hardly any dust on the main panels but have no idea how to sand beading and panel grooves with the sander I have as it doesn't reach the intricate corners. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. thank you and best wishes, Sheila

Hi Sheila Unfortunately really the only way is to use sandpaper and do it by hand, could have the vacuum on and next to you to stop the dust from being in the air. Hope this helps

You can get a attachment for a multi tool to attach sanding pads . But there is also an attachment to attach Hoover to the tools also.

Yes I agree. The only way to do it is by hand for the beading . To be honest it shouldn’t be creating much dust anyway. However definitely not a multi tool as it would probably damage or miss shape the bead being too aggressive
