Part F ventilation query - Can you put a dMEV in a bedroom?

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 4.08 PM

Or are they only for wet areas? I am wanting to ventilate a bedroom that has high humidity - particularly now when doors/windows closed. I do not want an MVHR as too noisy for bedroom. Have PIV but too far away for this room I could put a passive vent - but would value opinions. dMEV looks good and quieter but don't seem for habitable rooms. Windows do have trickle vents, and looking to put vent in bedroom door to help. Thanks so much

Sounds more like a lack of insulation causing condensation

I Agree with K N B construction. This would indicate lack of insulation. There are good environment solutions that I have used in the past that automatically switch on to reduce/ Remove and clear the Air through properties. They can be costly. I would recommend a survey, So you can be advised on several solutions.
