Advice on painting process after old paints are stripped, sanded and primed/undercoated

Hi,
We are renovating a 30 year old property recently bought and newbie on DIY. The old paints were just stripping/peeling off and hence my friends ended up stripping up to old plaster level at some places. Someone suggested to do apply undercoat which would cover the uneveness (basically the peeled and unpeeled surface unevness).
So, basically the walls have have sanded/cleaned where possible and 2 coats of 'Dulux Primer and undercoat' for walls (water based) have been painted.
My question is,
1. its been a week the walls were primed/undercoated, are we good to start painting those walls? using water based Dulux easycare paints. Is there anything to be considered?
2. There is one room where there is loads of dents due to the use of tool for old paint stripping. Can we skim coat with joint compound, prime and then paint?
Any suggestions/advice is much appreciated, thanks.

After a week the walls will be ok to be painted. I’d suggest getting a ready mixed filler from a DIY store to fill any dents in the wall. Leave it to dry and then sand with a fine grade sandpaper and then go over the filled areas with emulsion and let dry before emulsioning the whole wall.
1. After a week of priming and undercoating, it's generally safe to start painting with water-based Dulux Easycare paints. Ensure the primer is fully dry and follow the paint manufacturer's recommendations for optimal results. 2. Yes, you can skim-coat the room with a joint compound to address the dents. After applying the joint compound, sand it smooth once it's dry, then prime the patched areas before painting. This should help create a more even surface for the final coat of paint. Remember to follow the specific product instructions for drying times and application techniques to achieve the best results in your renovation project.

Hi, I would suggest to let everything dry fully before applying more paint. To answer your first question, I would say that a week's time should be sufficient enough for more paint to be applied. For your second question, I would strongly advise to fill all areas required with filler, followed by sanding them. Furthermore, use a thinner coat of paint before applying your finished coats on the walls. I hope this answers all of your questions, should this not, feel free to get in touch and I would be happy to help.
You can after 4or5 days of priming and undercoating it’s generally safe to start painting with water based Dulux Easycare paints.Ensure the primer is fully dry. Can skim-coat the room with a joint compound to address the dents. After applying the joint compound, sand it smooth once it’s dry then prime the patched area before painting.
