Supporting a quartz splashback

We cannot use a baton behind our range to support the quartz splashback as it pushes the range out too far thus preventing the adjacent drawer from opening. So we are looking for advice on what we can do to secure the stone in place that will be unobtrusive yet secure. The range can come forward a max of 10mm. Thanks in anagram

Without actually looking at this I would suggest cutting a strip of 9mm MRMDF, say 100mm wide. (Depending on the span). Fix this to the wall with a decent adhesive like Sticks Like Sh"T and screws. This should be plenty support for it.

Hi, Try screwing an 1/2" aluminium angle to the wall then the tile or splash back sits on this protruding edge i.e 12mm protrusion, with the back of the tile or splash back covering the upright section.
Good adhesive and clean cuts and it will work a treat.
If you can paint the edge a similar colour to the range, it conceals the angle too.

Both answers will work with plenty of adhesive behind the splash back. Another option if the splash back is still to be measured is to make it large enough that it sits on the worktop either side of the range. This isn’t always possible as it depends if you have room to house a larger splash back (ie gap in wall units etc)

If need be you can also look for a strip off angle iron. Can fix it to the wall on the one side and let the other be the support
