Carpet in room with furniture
Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.52 PM
My other half bought a bed for our new house and it has been assembled in situ. It is moveable but not removable because it will take a specialist to disassemble and reassemble. My question is that can a carpet fitter work around this obstruction in a standard rectangular 4 x 3m room? (no underlay is required.)
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi, I believe it’s best if you contact a carpet fitter and ask them as it’s down to the ability and skills + wether they have someone to help them, I.e a labourer, although I believe it’s very possible to lay the carpet down with the bed in the room.

Yes, a carpet fitter should be able to work around the bed obstruction in a standard rectangular 4 x 3m room. They can measure and cut the carpet to fit around the bed, ensuring a neat and professional finish. However, it's important to communicate the situation to the carpet fitter beforehand so they can plan accordingly and bring any necessary tools or equipment.

The room can be fitted as long as you can get the bed down one end of the room and then they should be able to fit the empty side and then move the bed over and fit the other side.
I hope this has helped.
Thanks,

I would suggest calling the carpet fitter and asking them this question directly, to my knowledge the answer would be no but everyone works differently and what may not work for 1 may work for another. I hope you get this sorted
