Gas Works

Gas cooker installation

Anonymous user 11/03/2024 - 2.30 PM

I currently have a freestanding gas cooker but want to change to an integrated oven and hob. What combination would be most straight forward to install on my current set up ie gas oven/electric hob or vice versa? I have a gas oven now and also have a cooker switch which I use for the display/ignition on my current oven. I will obviously get a qualified engineer to do the Installation but want to make sure I buy the most straightforward combination.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

For integrated appliances your best option is a electric oven and get gas hobs for cooking this means you need to redesign your kitchen.

The most common set up is gas hob and electric oven in most houses. This not to say you cannot have it the other way round but either way you may need to have minor adjustments to the supply of electric and gas. This has to be viewed to be more accurate on a job to job basis pending how it was fitted before. Hope this helps
