Turf laying in residential garden

Do I lay turf from top down to bottom in a garden with a gradient OR do you lay bottom to top. I know it has to be payed like brickwork. Seems to be various advice given. Thank you Mo

Lay the turf as so your not travelling over the newly laid turf with every new roll, simple common sense.

Usually best in any situation to work your way out. No one wants to walk over and damage fresh work. Plan ahead as with anything.

I would lay it from the top down and make sure you have some boards to walk on so your not treading on the newly laid grass, once you’ve reached the bottom come from bottom to top, just keep flipping the boards over, this keeps your grass flat with no holes caused from waking on the new turf
